Ecu For Super Spec

Recommended Posts

When I got my Super spec the ECU was already wired up. I disconnected it and wrote the connections down, but have lost the drawing. :( . I have been told by RH that someone has wired it up diferent than them with better results. Eventually I would like to change it for an Emerald or simular but not until after I have got it on the road and ran it for a bit.

The engine is a Rover Turbo.

Thanks, Jez

Contact Avon Automotive Diagnostics (in Shipston on Stour) - they have a colour coded chart for the Robin hood wiring for the ECU.

Don't know if its the same as the non turbo.

Cheers,

Chris

Hi

I posted some help on this subject a while ago.

On the Non Turbo the wiring is very close to the Rover diagram for a 420 found on the CD MG Rover technical details which you can be find with a search on the internet for Rover Manuals. I have lost the direct link I had, but the info on the Engine and its set up proved invaluable when I started the engine the first time.

I also have my diagram for the relay wiring loom on the superspec non turbo I redrew the RH diagram to make the operation of the relays more obvious.

The details for Avon are

I can email a copy of this to you if you feel it might help

Hi Jez

I have a turbo as well, recently through it's SVA.

Did you find a better way to wire it up? Have you changed ECUs yet?

Regards, Nick
