Have You Been To The Doctors Lately?

Recommended Posts

I had to go to the doctors yesterday for my annual MOT etc.

It’s one of those surgeries with about 10 Doctors in the practice, so you can get a reasonable number of people waiting to “go in”

I always count the number of Male / Female patients, (but children under school age don’t count, as they are usually in tow with Mum anyway.)

I’ve never yet found a ratio of less than 2/1 with many more women patients than male, in fact yesterday, there were 18 females, to 4 males. This brings me to ask myself why is this? The answers that I can come up with are:………………………

Men are obviously tougher, and just shrug off an illness.

Women are Hypochondriacs.

Women are obviously the weaker sex, and “break down” more than men.

Women are like French cars, nice to look at, but poor mechanics.

Women are paranoid about staying young, so when something goes a bit wrong, they’re straight to the Vet.

Women treat going to the Doc’s similar to shopping, it’s a hobby.

Women fancy the doctor!

Women have too much time on their hands.

Men don’t have time to go, as the women won’t let them have time off work.

Men daren’t go to the Doctors unless their women-folk tell them to.

What’s your thoughts???????

Women get a lot more "preventative maintenance" screening etc than men do... it's also them usually taking the kids who are ill too. Most men won't go unless their nuts are falling off :D

I agree, I never go to the doctors, last time I went was self inflicted (smacked some drunken scrote and bust me hand ;) ), apart from that I dont know when I last went. Too busy working to get ill. But the mrs and monster-in-law are always there.........

I think women should pay more national insurance than men, and I can feel 1 of them on-line petitions coming on. :o
