Got a problem as it is cross threaded on the bottom. Can you help???

As I said previously the part in your picture IS NOT the shock absorber it is called a dummy strut.

 

If it is the bottom stud of the dummy strut / chrome shaft that is cross threaded simply cut it off and have the shaft drilled and tapped and a high tensile stud fitted.

 

Job done.
