Its not due out until March 2004...so Bill get a move on and you will be ok.

On page 154 it states "batteries must be placed in front of the driver for safety reasons"

Gentlemen,

For optimum weight distribution and lowest centre of gravity have you considered fitted two 6volt batteries wired in series and positioned one under each front seat

No chance!

I am 6'4" and therefore there will be no bloody room under the seat (if I can even have the seat in there  :boohoo: !)

On reflection - you might also find that ground clearance is compromised.

But as an idea it has certain merit - just requires some development work.

Our family had a car with the batteries mounted under the front seats many moons ago.

Two 6v batteries  :( that even worst than one in the back :D

As I have said before, and other noble builder have backed me up ;) the correct place is just in front of the passenger :p see the video (we all know that is aways right ;)

I think you are having problems with your keyboard!

when you pressed the spacebar it put in "le"

Joey does not like the video's they keep saying no kids in the garage ;)

I agree it has certain merit but like CJ we have bugger all room under the seats, how about a string of Duracels fitted in the chassis tubesyou could route them so the positive is beside the engine and the earth would be somewhere round the boot area

Anyway how does a thread about SVA manuals get so much about battery positions then?

Come to think of it most the threads seem to involve batterys at one point or another.
