I have a small Denso alternator fitted to my 2B-- wiring?-- M6 stud = output cable to battery , standard size male spade = ? , 2nd standard male spade(at right angles to 1st) = ? There are no markings on any terminal.

Next question (note supposed to be in here) I have sierra wheels--5 1/2J x 14 & alloy wheels 6JJ x 15 what difference will be made on fitting to2B--i.e handling/road holding/steering "weight" ,I know I'll have to fit lower profile tyres to the alloy's to maintain circumference; thanks for your help.

The wheel size and width is fine just make sure the offset is OK. I think the offset on the Sierra was something around 40 -ve. So unless you want to move your wings (front if cycle) you should be looking for around the same. BTW the RH wheels that Richard S supplied had 15 -ve offset so gave about 2" wider track.

As for your alt do a search as there is a diagram of Nigel’s on here somewhere but if you can’t find it one spade goes to switched 12v and the other goes to the ignition warning light. If you wire it up the wrong way round the light either doesn’t go out or doesn’t come on I can’t remember which but whichever it is if one of these happen then just swap them over no harm will be done to the regulator.

Beat me there Keven

I have a mate with 4 2b alloys (no tyres) he tried to sell me. I have one in my garage I'll have a look tonight to see what size it is.
