Mirrors For Sva

Guest jwts

Hi,

I have my SVA next week and need to fit the mirrors without the windscreen. I have a SuperSpec, has anyone got detailed photos showing where to fix the mirrors. Actual measurements I can copy from one that has passed would be great :) .

I used extended one's borrowed from a Kent Hoodie. Have a look at my website SVA section. I think a few have passed with SVA compliant bike mirrors, and in true SVA style some have passed with the kit ones fitted.

I used the supplied mirrors. They are positioned as follows,

Drivers side, 220mm up from scuttle base, 170mm in from scuttle rear

Passenger side, 230mm up, 170mm in

Centre - Stuck directly to scuttle top to give best view between seats.

My tester said it was the first Robin Hood he had passed with the standard mirrors.

When adjusting them, set them to see over the rear wings as apposed to round them.

Hope this helps,

Andy

hi

just a bit of info re mirrors

the yellow 2b we just svad , the mirrors were bought as sva compliant , however the tester found the radus closest to the

passanger compartment not rounded enough , i had to apply a rubber edge to them to pass .

they now appear in the listing with no sva compliance rating

That would be a bit neater. It's just I haven't used a rivet gun for a week and I'm having withdrawal symptoms. :)
