Alternator Conections

I am hoping someone might be able to tell me the connections for my altrnator on a Rover T series.

I know one is for the charging circuit and I think one connects directly to the warning lamp but what is the other one for and which is which.

Get ready for many more questions as I am in full flow off attemping to wire up.

The picture says it all. The large one with the brown cable attached goes to the battery/starter motor and the smaller (centre) to the indicator light on the dash.

The other is not required.
