Chrome Powder Coating - Any Good?

Has anyone had any experience of Chrome Powder Coating?

 

I am thinking of getting my wishbones done.

Isn't that just a clear powder put over the top of polished parts?

It looks very chrome until you apply a clear coat (required for outdoor or even permanent indoor use otherwise the powder itself can rust!)

 

When you apply the clearcoat it looks like polished aluminium.

Polished Aluminium would look ok...........I don't think real chrome plate would be very practical for regular road use.
