Cycle Wings Edge Piping?

Hi

i put the edge trim around the cycle wings to pass sva a couple of years ago and it has been left on since then. Do people generally leave it on or remove it. can't make up my mind whether its better on or off. When i repaint them i don't want to put it back on if iam not going to leave it on as it will damage the paint.

ive not put mine back on and it looks ok but don't know about the leagle side of it

Think you just need it for SVA and it's not a MOT failure.

 

I say leave it off.

mine is long gone looked ugly passed 2 mots sense without.

Mine stayed on for just under 10 years (I quite liked the black edging around the yellow wings), but I've just resprayed all my GRP a darkish green and will now leave it off.
