Hi All,

 

I have access, (via work of course ;) ), to a chemical etching system that we use for engraving stainless steel (304/316L grade) machine components. This gives a very neat and permanent finish, (unless you take a grinder to it of course :D ).

 

Would this be acceptable in place of stamping / engraving the chassis number on the chassis for the IVA?

 

Any ideas? Has anyone else used this type of chassis marking?
