Had my retest on friday and failed.

 

The two things it failed on was noise and emissions , thing is i put the washer things that richard sent me in the exghuast but it still failed the noise level was exactly the same as last time so these things did sweet fa so im puzzled as what to do. As far as the emissions i paid enhanced performance in crawley £340 cash to set up the ecu when it had the retest it was exactly the same nothing had changed (money well spent) I spoke to the bloke he said he would sort it but thats not the point you loose faith as well as loss of earnings fuel money time retest money moan moan moan . any way anyone got any sergestions on the noise its starting to twist my melon man. :wacko: :blink:

You did put in the "brillo pads" as well as the insert? The insert just stops them from coming out during the test..

I had to tack weld my insert in before the silencer.

I had just pushed it in before and, when revving and showing off to some local kids, I almost took off one of their legs when the insert shot out of the exhaust.

I also packed it with some aluminium mesh prior to the tack welding.

Hope that helps.

Needless to say after the SVA, they all "accidently" fell out of my exhaust.
