Hi,

Not a fan of the Americans, but I do like the way they chain up there crims (feet as well)

Why can't they be put to work?

They can go shopping!

I live near Dartmoor they used to build nice walls there.

Put them all in chaingangs clearing rubbish and cleaning graffiti and the like. That's what I say.

 

It's already happening buddy. Albeit without the chains, but we have a scheme called 'Community Payback' where supervised teams of offenders are doing just that - cleaning up litter and rubbish, painting over graffiti, decorating community buildings and OAP homes etc. They get to wear a hi-vis jacket with Community Payback on the back so everyone knows who they are. And it works; some are actually getting some training as they go and an opportunity to get themselves into work.

 

Buch better than a fine they can pay off at a fiver a month and default on anyway

When i have my car outside i have a simple wterproof cover but tie it up like a Salami with tie wraps from Halfords, as much to keep it place as make it very difficult to nick.
