Dartford Crossing Speed Cameras

H i All,

 

Just seen on the local TV news.

The new average speed cameras on the Dartford crossing that have been in situ for a while now are due to go live shortly.

 

So if you are one of those who use the crossing and don't obey the 50mph speed limit - BE WARNED 3pts and £60 will be yours!!

Although, thinking about it, it's extremely unlikely the traffic is moving fast enough (if at all)

last time I went to see my Mum in Herne Bay It took me 1 1/2 hrs to get from the M1 to the Dartford tunnel, so no problem with speeding

I think it's about time they were put in. I was a regular user, and although it is normally slower than 50 when choc-a-block during rush hour, when it's empty, which is normally the early or later hours, there are some absolute idiots racing down it, and I've seen people that must have been touching 3 figures. But as usual it is always when I'm off duty

Unfortunately I've been to far too many unnecessary road traffic collisions that were as a result of speeding, and seen too many people that were inadvertantly caught up in the mess, and normally dying as a result.

But this is just my opinion.
