Speedo Drive Cable

How have people got their speedo cable to sit in their gearbox? Mine has a tendency to fall out. The last time i did it, i fixed it in place with the circlip and epoxy resin, which worked ok for a couple of years but i am now looking for a more permanent solution. Any ideas?

I used a series of cable ties linked together to form two hoops which go all the way around the gearbox. It's not very pretty, but it's not going to fall out!

I tried something like that once with wire... didn't seem to have the desired effect!
