Received this email today thought i would post it in case any of you are interested :-

SAFEBREAKERS

• COULD YOU BUILD A CAR OR MOVING MACHINE FROM SPARE PARTS?

• DO YOU WANT TO WIN A LARGE CASH PRIZE?

• EVER WANTED TO BE JAMES BOND’S ‘Q’ ... WITH VEHICLES?

Racing against another team, we want you to build a vehicle or contraption that will overcome an obstacle and lay your hands on a big cash prize.

Maverick Television is looking for people who are interested in mechanics, are keen salvagers, engineering enthusiasts and those who have a genuine passion for building machines to take part in a fun, challenging new game show for Sky 1.

2 teams will go head to head in a race to reach a safe hidden somewhere in a unique UK location.

The safe contains a desirable cash prize. To get their hands on the safe, each team must design and construct a machine capable of transporting them to it, or bringing it to them. Each team is given tools and materials and a limited amount of time. Whoever gets to the safe first gets the chance to break the code and win the money.

So, if you think you could do any of the following, get in touch asap!

Build a go-kart to race down a beach

Make a car become a boat

Turn scrap into a grappling hook and scale a wall

Produce a battering ram out of an old VW campervan

Install an ejector seat into a Aston Martin

So if you feel up to the challenge, or you would like more information, contact Paul on: p.shenkin@mavericktv.co.uk

We are casting throughout March!

Turn it in, I haven't even managed to get a zetec to run yet, let alone build "a machine capable of transporting me to a hidden safe."

What if it's under the sea?

Or in space

Or worse- in Manchester ?
