Quick Question

evening,

can anyone tell me if the front mounting point of the rear subframe, which bolts up through the floor of the tub. is in compression or tension when the wheels are on the ground.

 

basically I need to know if I unbolt it is it going to stay where it is or will it try and swing down?

I think it will try to drop but not much, but I may be wrong, as the diff will hold it almost in place as it is mounted hard to the chassis at the back and to the subframe via the two long bolts.

the outer wishbone bolts also bolt through the chassis at the front of the subframe so unless you also remove these it won't drop. I also have extra bolts through the subframe ends.

my chassis broke at this point due to excessive grounding out, and it didn't really move anywhere!
