Zetec Plugs An Leads

can anyone help me, a mate at work asked if i could help get the leads off the plugs in his escort - wouldnt budge

 

is there an easy way of seperating them? rather that scrap the car and gettin a new one

Plug lead of mondeo zetec 2L in pic below. Coil pack end is pinch and pull, plug end is just pull/wiggle/twist/strain/grapple/etc.

cheers longboarder, force is the answer - usually the way just couldnt get a hammer in first go
