Emerald Ecu

I am finally wiring up the engine bay and fitting a Emerald ECU.

All seems quite straight forward if I take my time except for the knock sensor.

I have looked through the ECU manual several times, but cant find any mention of Knock sensor.

Does the Emerald support this function and if so what does it connect to.

I Live in New Whittington, but my car is in my workshop in Staveley (even closer to Worksop) at the moment.

I was hoping to have a quiet time at work so I could have a good spell on the car, but so far it hasn't worked out.

I've been looking this morning and decided that the emerald does not support this function.

After doing a search on the internet, I beleave that it has something to do with the turbo.

You have had more need for a knock sensor on a turbo motor, a lot more chance of knocking with the higher inlet temps.

If the Emerald has spare inputs and/or further programable functions then the knock sensor could send a signal to the ecu which could be programmed to reduce spark advanced and reduce boost

I would be surprised if it won't support a knock sensor- it supports absolutely everything else. Give them a call, they are massively helpfull.
