Alternator Wiring

Hi,

Ive got a 2.0 Zetec balcktop with a GBS Altenator kit, most wiring is now done but what wiring do I need for the alternator. In principle I know the theory but how should it be wired in and does the dash charge warning light get wired in here too?

Also GBS havent got back to me on where I can get the plug for the back of their alternator, does anyone else know?

Hi

 

Plug is a little difficult to source, just use insulated crimp spade terminals.

 

Plug terminals are on attached.

 

Ignition feed to one side of warning light, other side goes to terminal that says "warning light circuit connection"

 

rest is as stated.

if its the GBS alternator then use this, its what i did, I didnt use a plug I used standard connectors and a ring terminal on the return to solenoid
