I go once a year with a group of friends and we do some cycling, walking, eating, drinking, we were there last weekend. What has happened to the Little John! it's gone sort of trendy, bistro tables, loads of pink cushions etc.

Which pub does the local Rhocar use?

The Travellers Rest at Brough, Bradwell seems ok, good food when we ate there on the Peak District weekend in June, they do bed and breakfast but are bit pricey for the rooms, but there are quite a few other B&Bs around that are cheaper and it's right on top of some of the best walking and cycling in the area

Thanks Steve but they have been going to Hathersage for 15 years so it may take a few years yet to change! currently stay in a bunk house at a local farm very basic but all facilities and cheap, there is not much chance of getting a Hood down the tracks though! Food at the pub is ok. big portions very filling but why they serve roast, mashed and boiled potatoes as well as 2 more veg for sunday lunch I don't know. I don't think they sell many puddings after that lot.
