The fan works as there is a by-pass switch fitted but doesn't kick in automatically when the engine needs it - how do I test the switch ?

It is at the bottom of the radiator and two wires protrude from it.

Ifr it is knackered where can i get a replacement from - the car is a 2b superspec.

All parts were supplied by Robin Hood.

It is fitted with the ROver 2L T-series engine.

Return from rad will be cooler than water going to the rad. Remove it and check what temperature it is specified for. Test by wiring upto your multimeter set to continuity or resistance and dangle in boiling water. It should start open circuit and when it has been in the boiling water for a few seconds it should close and give continuity or a small resistance reading.
