had the rear end jacked up the night

And noticed play in osr wheel

Put my finger between drum lip and its back plate and there is movement

So i assume its the wheel bearing

Any hints tips are they easy enough no special tools needed etc before i get in there

I assume it would be sierra rear wheel bearing i need

Regards stuart

if you dont have a drift like in the link. use a chisel to get it out. and a large socket to drift back in.

I prefer the socket method as it keeps it nice and square and les chance of any damage on the new race.

I use the old bearing face to drift it back in, you can grind back the outer face of the old bearing face to make easier to remove but as it stick out above the carrier I just ease it back out by tapping with a hammer and pulling wit mole grips

They are as easy as you guys said only stripped offside so far

Although i do have a couple o issues

The bearing outer shell fell out and new one can be turned by hand when in the hub

Do you think bearing sealer stuff will be enough or is it new hub time?

And my offside rear has the left hand thread on the hub nut

Does this mean i have to change the outer joints over or complete drive shaft?

Thanks again stuarty
