Dohc Shortened Sump

gonna be fitting shortened sump to my DOHC twinky in the Zero in next couple of days (with engine in situ)

I will also be cutting off the bottom of the mt75 box so its at the same level.

 

while the sump is off is there anything I can check?

any other tips?

You will need to shorten the pick up pipe too.

I cut mine in the middle , removed the straight section and welded back tpgether. It was not the asiest of mods!!

thnx Graham, got the shortened sump on & gbox bellhousing cut down, so they are slightly higher than the floor pan

I can relax abit now when driving as the old sump had a few road scratches on.

Looking good. I think I took a bit moe away . the two holes at the bottom of the bell housing were cut in half!!! -so not used. Defiantely beat hitting the speed humps hard !.
