Pedal Bushes

Recommended Posts

The plastic "top hat" plastic bushes between my brake pedal & pivot shaft have split (a few laps of Barkston Heath may have had something to do with it). It's the original pedal box from the Sierra so they've lasted 20 odd years, but now I'm getting a clicking from the brake pedal.

Does anyone know where I can get new ones from ? I'd like to replace both clutch & brake while I'm at it, so if anyone knows where I can get 4 from I'd be very grateful.

Thanks chaps, Steve

My local Ford dealer has never been over keen to look up older parts but I'll give him a go next weekend. Meanwhile I've just found that Flo-flex list some for early escorts that look the same & they're £6.93 for a set of 4 so I might give them a try. At that price it's not the end of the world if they don't fit.

Fitted the bushes yesterday - they're made of a softer material than the originals but fitted fine. They seem to work OK but how long they'll last remains to be seen!

Anyway there's no more clicking from the brake pedal ................... at least for the time being.
