What can the current stalks supplied by RH with the 2B Superspec be replaced with as this is my next task as well as getting the dashboard replaced.

I have heard/read stalks from a Focus will do -- what bits from a scrapper do I need ?

It is currently fitted with the MK5 escort pod.

Steven,

The Mark 1 Ford Focus stalks fit nicely, (I have these on mine).

You will need the stalks (obviously!) both indicator and wiper, along with the main mounting bezel (sorry can't remember the correct name).

The bezel slides over the column and clicks into place, (provided you have the Mk 1 Focus column of course), and the stalks just click into place into the bezel. There has to be a minor modification to the bezel though. There is a multi plug mounting that has to be removed from the front of the bezel

To help wiring, get the multi plugs for the stalks as well from the scrappy with some decent wiring 'tails', this'll make wiring them into the loom far easier. You may have to modify the pod slightly to accomodate the stalks though, don't know about this for definite

Hope this helps

Yes - it has the adjustment lever below the column so that makes it a MK1 Focus column ?

QD has said I also need to fit a light switch on the dash as the MK1 Focus stalks do not switch on the sides and dipped beams. ~I take it the other side has the 2 speed wash/wipe ?

Hi Steve like i said in email if your steering column has a square steering lock housing like in the photo i sent you it is of a 2001-2005 mondeo it has the ajuster lever underneath i looked at about 30 focus mk1s for a cowling and none would fit mine i went to fords and gave them the part number of the column which is new and suplied by robinhood and they told me it was of a modeo so went back to scrapyard and the first modeo i found had the the right cowling on and was the same column as mine. The focus mk1 stalks and airbag squib cliped straight on to column if your using the mountney steering wheel you have to remove the air bag squib and cut 20mm of the back of the steering wheel boss.Wiper switch has rear wash/wipe windscreen wash and intermitent/slow/fast wipe hope this helps Dave D

Got all the parts I needed - a quick call to Dave in the scrap yard confirmed the right bits - many thanks.

Just got a headache trying to figure out which of the 10 wires on the wiper stallk does what.

Haven't even looked at the headlight one yet.

Hi Steve if you need to know what wires go where on wiper and lights stalk let me know so long as you have ford plugs and a bit of loom it should not be a problem
