S7 Too Ball Joint

Any tips on how to separate the top ball joint? First side separated easily, just couple good hits with a hammer with one the otherside. The near side one though just doesn't want to budge

Much bigger hammer, it's called a Scotch screwdriver. (Surely they are common in Dunfermline)

 

I presume the duck has tried ball joint separators?

 

Last resort is the gas Axe.

Percy Verance is the guy ,have you had a hammer at both sides ? usually doe's the job ,try with percy again mower man

I put a bottle jack on wood on the bottom wishbone and jacked the ball joint off the mushroom

I took wizz at his word and it worked

Lol. Now just got to work out how on earth you are meant to get the nuts back on inside the dummy strut!

Grease in the socket so nut won't fall out and some pressure on the ball joint so that it won't spin when the NEW nylock takes hold of the thread,

If you have deep sockets then pack the bottom out with another nut or a quantity of paper etc.
