Push Button Wiring Advice Please.

Hi,

Thanks in advance to anybody who can help.

I have a broken ignition at the moment that currently uses the thin end of a spoon as a key! I have a push button start to wire up but I'm not sure where to start. (I've attached a pic of the unit, I'll take one of the back tomorrow)

So my first question is what colour wire should go where? I have a s7 so the donor is a cortina as is the ignition barrel.

Battery live to one side of toggle switch. Ignition live circuits to other side of toggle. Loop wire from output of switch to one side of push button. Starter wire to other side.

 

Can't help with wire colours but that's the basics. I had that starter panel before.
