Fuel Gauge

Hi I have a revotec fuel gauge and no matter how much fuel is in the tank it read half a tank the more you drive the gauge goes up to 3/4 of a tank

How can I get it to read accurate

I am in exactly the same situation as you.does the sender have enough space to achieve full travel?if so it could well be a mismatch. Car builder solutions sell a small piece of electrickery which allows the two devices to be tuned to match each other.it costs about thirty quid if I remember correctly. I may resort to this if it continues to be a problem. I am going to see which sender devoted recommend first.

First you need to find out if the float is getting full movement

Next if it is an old style sender it will read in reverse, I unsolder end the wire to the reostat and resolder end to the other end

It still only reads nearly full and is empty when it says 1/4
