i bought these catches for mine:

They have an in-built spring that locks the mechanism so they can't open accidentally. They're the dog's danglies, but i doubt they are iva compliant.

They also have a hole for an r-clip, if belt and braces aren't enough!

I had the rubber type of catches on for the IVA and changed to the CBS type with R clips. Bob.

I'm starting to think that will be the case of IVA then change them. I've got a set of the rubber ones on order to be on the safe side, but will probably swap when I pass. Seems to be the case with a lot of things haha!

Spot on. Build it for the IVA and then change it afterwards.
