Fuel Return

Am I right in saying I do not need a petrol return pipe if I am using a filter king regulator to feed bike carbs?

yup that's right.. no need to use a filter king one neither. I got a cheap one off ebay. works a treat

As cma replied.sytek one small silver circular one.mine is set to 2psi no issues

Thanks, forgot to ask what fuel pump you recommend and do you fit an extra filter?

I run the standard pinto mechanical one and a cheap inline filter

Ah, don't have the mechanical pump. My engine has a blanking plate so thinking of the Facet type.

Don't have anything on it at the moment! I'm fully rebuilding the car from front to back and the tuned engine I bought used an electric pump. I was going to do the same, with the pump and regulator in the boot just above the tank.

cant see why the electric fuel pump wont be fine. I know some other guys use em.

If starting from scratch with a pump set up I would recommend using a bike pump (http://danstengineering.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=59_89&product_id=122) - specifically designed to run with bike carbs there simply isn't a better solution

 

There's nothing wrong with any of the aftermarket pumps regulated of course, but more expense and complication than is perhaps necessary.
