    This was first bought from Westfield by the original owner but was never used. I bought it off him as a spare but have never needed to fit it. Since I have now sold the car it's up for sale. NOTE that this doesn't have the speedo drive gear fitted as it was supplied for use with an electronic speedo using an external sensor. It could probably be retro fitted by the buyer if required.     Having a clear out now that I've sold the car collection only from Aldridge, West Midlands but will take to Stoneleigh on Saturday morning if anyone is interested. Pair of used top wishbones for a 3A. £25 the pair Pair of new track control arms Sierra Firstline 5525/5526. £20 the pair Pair of used stainless louvred vents fit 90x300 hole. £20 the pair Used rear lights "7 type" NOT Led. £10 the pair New Ford KA master cylinder - no cap. £15
  8. These were kept as spares for my Robin Hood 3A but now I have sold the car they are no longer required. They are used items so have mounting holes in them and the wings have been cut to suit the car they originally came from. The nosecone is in good condition, the intake hole will need finishing off.   14. My Robin Hood 3A for sale. 10 months MOT. 1998 on a C plate. A well cared for example which I have owned for approximately 9 years. Taken off the road after purchase to carry out a rebuild which lasted 2 years! I have decided to sell her as I want to do a new project. No expense has been spared. The car has covered just over 2000 miles since the rebuild. The work carried out included: stainless monocoque reinforced and professionally welded at the known weak points New suspension including coilovers, top wishbone bearing upgrade and tie bar conversion. Rear camber wedges. Recon steering rack. Quick Release steering wheel. New braking system. Replacement rebuilt 2 litre Pinto engine fitted with skimmed head, FR32 cam, vernier pulley, Fireblade carbs on Bogg Brothers manifold, Megajolt ignition with new coil pack and leads, oil cooler, lowered sump and guard, cool air intake. Made 140 bhp on Steve Walfords rolling road. New Radtec alloy radiator, Spal fan, alloy header tank, 3-speed heater for the cooler months! Recon diff by Barra Motorsport Wider front and rear wings to take the 17" KEI wheels and Rainsport 3 205/40 tyres, professionally painted Mazda True Red Custom made wiring harness, fuse and relay box. Replacement battery 2020. Retrimmed adjustable seats by Land & Marine. Tinted laminated screen with new wiper system. GBS dash with Smiths instruments. Centre hinged bonnet. Roll bar modified and 4-point seat belts fitted. Most steel parts have been powder coated, all new nuts and bolts. The car is correctly registered as a Robin Hood and is in my name. I am looking for offers around £4400 to include wet weather gear (never been in the rain since I've had it). Located in Aldridge, West Midlands.

  16. For sale is a pair of used J&R (Birmingham) driveshafts for kitcars using the Ford Sierra based parts. Collection only from Aldridge, West Midlands - NO postage. Used on my Robin Hood for about 1200 miles. No longer required. For those who don't already know, these shafts are not installed like the standard Ford shafts as the joint diameter is too large. Instead you have to dismantle the shaft into 2 parts (1 boot clip and 3 screws) and then insert the joints and reconnect the 2 parts of the shaft from under the car. Supplied with 2 replacement clips. Offered on here at £40 the pair (cost £160 from J&R). You are welcome to come and check them over before purchase.
  17. Mine's the same design as that one. I think it's based on the VW Polo. Being an aluminium radiator I was told by the supplier (Radtec) to mount it on flexible rubber bobbin mounts and to only use the old style antifreeze with it. Apparently they have had failures at the matrix joints with the newer antifreezes

    Fuel pump

    I run a facet red top pump. You can hear it when you switch the ignition on and goes quieter when the carb float bowls have filled but you can still hear it humming before starting the engine. I wait until the pump goes quieter before starting so that I know that the carbs have the correct level fuel and the engine starts first time. I was told by a supplier that the early red and silver top pumps would switch off completely when back pressure was sufficient but I don't know if that's correct.
  19. I'm using these J & R driveshafts. If this is the same design as the ones that I bought, they are too large in diameter to pass though the hole in the swinging arm using the normal installation method. After discussions with the owner of J & R I had to take the outer joint off, put that into the hub from the inside, put the rest of the shaft into the diff and reconnect the joint. There's just enough room to do this. The owner said that he originally designed these for Westfields which don't have the hole size problem. let us know how you get on.
