Picked up a set of 2B build DVDs yesterday from Simon. Thanks to Simon for them, and had a look round his car and good chin wag!

 

Watched the first one last night! They are proper DIY 'video's'! But some of the folding I was expecting to be technical but he just bends it with his hands - no guides or anything!

 

I'll have to get cracking!

Yeah, there is lots of contradiction going on, who is the bloke? A bit of expression would be good - sent me to sleep once!

 

I'll finish them off another weekend, fed up of getting grief for hogging the TV!

who is the bloke?

 

"The bloke" is Richard Stewart, Mr Robin Hood. AKA "Tricky Dickie"

 

Without that man none of us would be here talking kit cars like we do.

He made a 7 style kit car project affordable for me, as I could never have even dreamed of a Westfield or Caterham.

He also has a very dry sense of humour - which I like!

One thing that always made me chuckle was his continued referral to the "Camera Man" who was in fact Gina his long suffering PA.

How she stuck with him for all those years is beyond me, although I did hear tell she got a very good pay cheque when Richard sold the company and the land it stood on.

 

I think she was his Hayley to her Roy Cropper.
