cheers mitch, have seen this sketch but can any one translate into easy measurements - i dont understand them

ie front indicators need to be no higher than... and no lower than...

side indicators need to go " " "

rear light cluster six inches up from lower wing and close to the outer edge?

etc?

It's all in the SVA manual, I'm sure there is a copy online but I can't remember where, perhaps somone could put a link to it.

One of my failure points at SVA was that the fog light was less than 100mm from the rear light cluster.

I've been looking at this this evening. My sva manual says lots of things that when you really read, you don't need to worry about due to the design of the car.

rear lights: max 400mm from side, seperation a minimum of 500

max 1500 from ground

min 350 from ground

stop lights: the same as sbove

rear fog: has to be on off side(drivers)

minimum of 100mm from stop light.

indicators: 400mm max from side

height has to be between 350 +1500

lets make it easier. Due to the height of the car, the rear of the wings are always between 350mm +1500mm from the ground and the distance in from the side is always less than 400mm. The wings are also a minimum of 500mm apart unless things have gone really badly. There are also angles of view to worry about, but you shouldn't have any problems unless again, you've done something really silly with the build.

Therefore all you need to make sure of, if all lights are on wing are:

fog light is on o/s

fog light is minimum of 100mm from stop light

all lights are vertical and point backwards.

Hope this helps

Paul
