Wiper Sweep

Hi guys,

 

I'm little confused! I am about to fit my wipers to my zero. I have all the parts and picked up the arms and blades from GBS yesterday.

The part I am confused with is which way to have the sweep. On GBS web, all the pictures show the blades parked to the right, i.e the drivers side. I would have thought that a better sweep would see them parked the other way, that way you wont get a arch of un-wiped area in front of the driver.

 

Am I missing something?Being daft? Having a moment?

 

Richard gave me the spacing etc as my scuttle is undrilled, I just want the best option really

I think I may just do t like that then. I was told the wheel box spacing is 10 inches apart and 5 inches in from the front of the scuttle. Does that make the wheel boxes equal distance from outer edge, so they don't look offset?

Again, thanks. Mine sweep 110 degree so I will do a mock up later and try it out, then its all systems go and start drilling holes!

You can always go the "clap hands " route.

Drivers parks to right, passengers to the left, they meet in the middle when working.

Just fit one wiper box so the cable is at the bottom & the other is at the top.

I have seen a robin hood that had 3 wipers to give coverage accros the full width.

Apparently cut the tube and fitted a third wheel box.

This was over 10 years ago and I struggle to remember which way they parked
