Crank Breather

Hi I have a sierra dohc engine fitted efi model, the crankcase breather comes off the valve from bottom end of the engine a onto an outlet on the efi manifold, can I take the pipe off the efi and put it to a oil catch can and just put a blank plug in the efi manifold, the catch can I will use will have a breather on it

I have bike carbs on my DOHC & have crankcase & cam cover breathers to a catch tank.

I cut bottom off the crankcase breather valve & removed the mesh- to aid better air flow

Dunno if the DOHC is same as the pinto but that has a one way valve in the breather that

needs to be removed as It needs vacuum to open it....
