Fitting Loom

Hi guys. Does anyone have any pics of their wiring loom fitted to their car. I've got a vicky green loom and am trying to get a basic idea of layout etc.

I'm looking at a monocock chassis so exmo's or series 3's

Cheers

Cheers guys. The car is already built, not by me,

The rear loom will have to go down the side but I was really looking for fuse box location. I've had to cut and splice a fair bit of the loom as it was a second hand purchase. Before I look at the final fit I really just wanted some other visual reference.

Not sure if it's any help but I was in a similar position to you with a car built by someone else and no information on the wiring, so I analysed as much as I could and put the results in my blog. Might be worth reading:

As you will see from the pictures the main electrical panel with the fuses and relays is in the passenger footwell.

Cheers Al.

It's very similar to what I'm intending. As ive had to repair the loom I wasn't sure on cable lengths for column etc. I think I've got it sussed.

If I'm lucky I'll get some time in the cave tomorrow to have a good play around.

Guest snowy2

pick a route round the car and trim the wires to suit, i start at the o/s headlight and work anticlockwise round the car, all wires follow this route even if they are 2 or 3 times longer than the most direct route. once everything is connected i secure it.
