thanks for the help guys. looks like a weekend to play cars? anyway wots 108 pcd . mean? is offset from the outside of the wheel rim to the inside face wheel hub . in . mm. ummmmm canya cut off the tube arms for the sliding pillars and fit joints and tern them into wish bones ? then use coilovers. is the change to a wish bone coilover system with hubs an improvement because the steering axis improves over the sliding system. if not can you keep the huds rack slider but cut down. then fit wish bones to it with coilovers and use the slider now not sliding. as the steering axis? any body have any idears on the subject . as i get the impression that in the end the pillars have to go. anyroadup tinkerd with the go peddel made sum clutch ajustments found a nut and a washer and deffo made sum improvements ? cheers have fun and dont forget to pop the hood and tinker. pop the hood get/it!

108 pcd (Pitch Centre Diameter) means that the stud centres lie on a circle whose diameter is - er - 108

hi suns out so not much time for fiddeling put the new springs on and now got a bit of a bouncy castle ride? ummmmm not so good on the roads round falmouth . 300 lbs springs 8" long on the good roads no probs but bumpy roads not good. car is 800 kg with driver at 73 kg boot with tools oil. can of go juice old cluch old heater box ect. harf tank of petrol .front is 360 kg back 440 kg. have 6.5" be tween spring mounts . so 8" spring compresed to 6.5" any body advise on spring rate.? as 300 lbs 8" is to stiff !. but 360 kg almost 800 lb . so got 50 quids worth of springs that are to stiff. f... s... . any body got wish bones in the shed ?. can i cut the springs down . will that help. ? any advice will be good . got rid of the over the top toe in set to parallel and drives much better. so not all bad . pulled of the vac pipe to distributer and no change?. have electronic dis. no points. so duz elec . need vac advance? anyway having grate fun in the hood so suns out again see ya later. cheers steve . ps . wots 108 pcd mean?.

108 PCD explained in post above & also in the link I posted.

Dont cut the springs down....that will make them harder.

If its bouncy, your shockers arent working properly.

if its banging over bumps the springs are too hard.

thanks bob . any body have a 1600 ohc ford cut down sump pan . as last time was the 5th time ive hit the deck. can you just cut down the sump and its ok bit less oil . but not raced so will it be ok? . wots the diferrence between pinto and kent motor?. will the 2ltr pinto fit in place ov me 1600 pinto ?. cheers have fun in the sun. steve.

hi have a sump now . any body have a idear where i can get hubs re drilled from mx5to ford 4stud ? to use for wishbone conversion cheers .
