Fan Fixings / The Correct Way?

I put mine on with the plastic fittings and pads and haven't had any trouble from them yet. Be mindfull that once they have been pushed on you can't get them off again without cutting them off and buying some more

Hold the outer ring in fingers. Pull on the plastic thingy bit and a part of the inner collets should appear. Carefully remove these and Bobs your uncle.
