Bonnet Catches

Hi I have the rubber type bonnet catches and they keep springing up when I'm going along anyone else had this problem any solutions

Dump them I used over center catches

i changed mine too as they would stretch when hot and bonnet rattled, s/s catches from cbs brilliant catches options for pad lock if needed,they have a slider wedge which helps align the bonnet as well.

Did you have to make more holes do they cover the rubber type

Hi change my rubber catches to over centre stainless catches straight after IVA test.

Managed to get them to cover old holes .

No problem with my rubber catches, do you have bonnet location pins to stop lateral movement and a seal/foam strip between bonnet and top edge of side panel?

I have the rubber catches which were coming loose, but after fitting bonnet locating pins they are fine

Where did you put the locating pins guys can you send picks

Thanks, just at the same point myself, got three of the four bonnet catches on (ran out of time & wasn't going to turn down a Sunday lunch!) & there looks to be a lot of wriggle-room, so going to put some pins in to make it easier to put the bonnet on.
