Nose Cone - Top Bolts

Afternoon, another question from me. I see on various blogs and pictures that the GRP goes on the outside of the mounts on the top of the chassis. There's no way mine will fit on the outside without seriously stressing the GRP. I am wondering if I have a different nose? My kit was purchased in 2014, it's GT and the nose fits perfectly as pictured.

 

I wanted to be sure before I drilled anything.

that should pull out enough without damage to the grp

mind you mine has more give in it cos I have no return flange on the end

Thanks, I'm nervous about cracking it but after trial fitting the bonnet it will fit much better if it's on the outside of that tab. Hmm, coffee time.

I've not seen the build up or the bonnet off on that kind of car.

However it makes sense to me that the bonnet fits in the angle giving a nice flush shut line.

This would also cover the bolt heads.

Looks like you got it right to me.

Must type quicker.

Still, old age does apparently slow you down to carpet slipper and pipe type of life.

thanks. I got it to fit in the end, on the outside. I had to cut about 1cm off each side at the bottom, it looks fine and is hidden anyway.
