Hi all just bought a neglected locust 7 ,first problem is that the indicators work very slow ,and intermittent ,took the rear panel out to find lots of joints would it be best to take it all apart and try and use as little joints as possible regards paul

Yes it would, but most likely you have too much load on the relay which is causing the slow action. This can be caused by using bulbs of the wrong rating, but can be solved by using a fixed rate relay like those used for led indicators.
