Sender unit leak

Recommended Posts

Afternoon All,

I’m looking for advice.
the sender unit has sprung a leak.
it’s got a brand new seal on it, had to replaced the old one after 90% disintegrated, plus a load of some sort of sealant had been used.
yet it’s still pissing fuel.
any ideas ? What are others using?
is there an easy fir replacement option?
any help greatly appreciated.

cheers

dave.

A seal will only work well if both mating surfaces are flat and smooth - I'm guessing yours aren't? Probably why there is sealant there from before? Not sure if you can get petrol resistant sealant but that seems to be the way forward?
