Sierra 2.0l 1987 - ESC 2 & Carb Stepper Motor - Connectors Needed

Help,

Has anyone changed their DFTH carb & ESC 2 Engine control module and still has the connectors ideally with local section of the loom or wires still attached  ? (Item 20 & 59 of page 437 of the Haynes Ford Sierra owm)

It looks like I'm after what appears to be hens teeth having scoured the web over the last couple of years with no success

Alternatively

a) Has anyone any idea if there is a supplier / maker of especially the ESC 25pin Motorcraft connector  ?

b) Anyone knocking up the 25port body & cover on a 3D printer ?

c) Has anyone overcome this connection problem and ditched the ESC 2 ideally with a basic wiring diagram running the DFTH devoid of the stepper motor - ( if so what compromise made to throttle idle setting etc)

( I believe the pipe connection to the ESC 2 is probably a vacuum line associated with the DFTH stepper motor so just needs manifold connection blanked off?)

Hi Wilksy, I used to have similar issues trying to source connectors for the ESC II Engine module without any success due to the age and rarity of the components, so I decided to replace the ESC II with an aftermarket electronic ignition system which has simplified the ignition setup on my Tiger.

AccuSpark offer electronic ignition kits compatible with the Ford Pinto engine and we do get a club discount! (10% Discount code to enter on their site is RHOCAR)

Thanasis,

I seem to be bumbling through this build challenge and again dug out of a cul d sac just as others are or have come out of theirs

Without knowing any of these problems I had already acquired a Pinto model Acuspark Distributor and associated Coil from a local lad so must be having more than my fair share of luck.

I think I will dump the ESC 2 and Stepper Motor, fit the Acuspark kit and knock up an adjustable screw end stop for the carb.

As to the post carb heater fed from the ESC 2 I  this appears to be just a cold start feature so possibly a coolant temp set point / adjustable switch on the water feed to the manifold.

I take it the ESC 2 doesn't interfere with any of the resistive circuits used for instruments so can be by-passed
