Hi all

 

well - at last - I've done it! Mig + SS wire + Argon.... and result

I now have a new bracket welded inside the tunnel for my handbrake, thanks for all the info guys

 

Ok so I'm not the greatest welder ... and some of the welding isn't pretty .. but it IS welded . So here's a piccy.

That looks pretty good.

 

I just used CO2 / Argon mix and normal wire to weld mild steel strap to the chassis for the pedal strengthener. Doesn't look anything special but it is effing strong.

 

Not sure I'd want to try it on anything structural on the chassis.. fortunately RHE already sorted that bit out..
