Hall Effect

Having not yet found a granada sensor from a type 9 box I'm looking at the sensor off a mondeo box. Three wires so probably a hall effect one. Do they work if rotated in either direction or does it have to be the same as on the original car. Its just that it would be much easier to fit 'upside down'.

If it is a hall effect sensor, it will work in both directions, as will a hall effect distributor
