Trimming

hi all

 

im working on my 2B just messing about checking all the nuts bolts and so on. but im really strugling to work out how to trim the bits that hold the slideing pillers together.

as any 1 trimmed them up on there car for th sva test? if so how did you do it what did you use and how much did you do?do i have to go all the way around or is it just the front part that needs to be coverd?

Hi Olly,

 

Don't forget that there is an exempt area in front of the stearing wheel that extends to it's edges. I also trimmed the flexible stearing mount that you fold round the chassis just in case.

Hi Olly,

I used SVA caps on ALL bolt heads & nuts on the pillar setup,

& the big nut holding the headlamp shell in place.

Also thin edge trim over all the edges of the plates

which hold the top of the shocker.

I put a bellows over the steering TRE, & passed SVA OK like that.

Mine's trimmed up still for SVA as far as I know as i haven't removed any...you're welcome to a look if it'll help & you're close....

 

Don't forget to put a cap on the big nut behind the wheel... :lol: :lol: (or your head will get cold!! :D )
