Hiya all

 

Any pics of a series 1 .one comming up for sale soon wonderd what they are like and what size they are and if they would take a V6

Alan Rowe has a V8 in his and Tricky put a V12 in one. so a v6 shouldn't be a problem! They are just a bit narrower across the seats than the series 3 but built out of slightly thicker material.

Yes Micky They will take a V6

 

I've got one in mine with the mechanical fuel injection a la Capri/ early XR4

 

Mines a mild steel S7. I assume thats a "Mk1".

Thanks all . Ive got a V6 Nissan 3Ltr ZX Turbo . which is shorter and lighter than a pinto but slightly wider .and i just cant stop driving my 3a long enough to swap engines and boxes so ive been looking for another car if not to expensive. an old member will be selling his series 1 soon and i have been trying to work out expenses depending on the price. and run the two .

i have a serries 1 the only problem is the width of seats available , its 3 inches less than the 3 or 3a One good point is they used the lower front box section of the sierra so they are more robust for fitting larger engines. i fit in mine but it can be a squeeze

I will try 3" packing in the side of mine to see if i can get in as the 3a is a sqeeze
