Clutch Quadrant Replacement

I have heard of people changing the yellow clutch quadrant for a 'faster' one, but all pics on peoples websites still have standard yellow one fitted. My pedal box is out at the moment so I could replace mine quite easily- Is it worth doing?

TIA,

Brian

Yes, it's worth it. Get the 55mm one from an 86 Fiesta or Escort. All decent factors have them for about £7. Helps the gear change a lot.

These look identical to the standard yellow 45mm one but groove is shallower. The 55mm Granada one that looks like a quarter circle rather than a semi will not work, beware... :)

Dave, you seem to have enough spares left over to build another complete car! (thanks for PM about belt- I'll happily take it off your hands some time, unless you know of someone in greater need)

Salty, no problem. With the amount of time (and money) I spend there, I'll probably get an invitation to my local motor factor's xmas dinner, so changing a small part like this shouldn't be to difficult!

Cheers,

Brian
