    Carbtune

Hi all, I've managed to borrow a Carbtune to balance my dellorto DHLA 45. Does anyone know where the hoses attach to the carbs? Where i think they go is blanked off??? Cheers Andy
  2. Thanks for the replies. Yes it does flood the carbs. I've set the float height to 15.5mm with new needle valves and it still drips a bit. No where near as bad as before though. I saw a Sytec reg for £25 on eBay . Any good?. Cheers Ken it was revving in neutral. I couldn't get much out of it before now it revs freely
  3. Hi, Do you need a fuel pressure regulator with a mechanical pump? It seems to be running even better now as the cam timing was retarded. A few degrees of advance and it revs well without bogging down or spluttering. Another play tomorrow and should be there or there abouts. Cheers
  4. Exhaust header sorted. Little bit of weld protruding. Filed back and refitted . Thanks for all the info. Cheers Andy
  5. Hi all, As per the title please. My current one is the short tube and rigid dipstick. Thanks, Andy
  6. No, it's all good thanks . I like your logic. I'm off to work for four days now but i will get the file out on my return and report back. Cheers
  7. Yes, I would rather try that first than sealant. Good idea. Thanks
  8. I'll try it first without the gunk. Cheers
  9. I was joking:) a little fettle and exhaust sealant then back on. Thanks for your help
  10. Yes you are correct 4 branch . It's only blowing on one, I'll get the angle grinder on it and glue it! Cheers
  11. Yes it's tight. I replaced the studs with stainless ones. I think the header may be twisted. Thanks
  12. Hi, As per the title slight blow from the headers. I've fitted qualityVictor Reinz gaskets but slight blow. I have some Loctite copper silicone , good for up to 350 deg. Will this be ok? Also do I apply to both sides of gasket? Do I leave it to set before running? Cheers

    Dipstick!

Thanks all for the replies. Turns out it is the correct dipstick, but the tube was that badly bent it was forcing past the hole and baffle plate and hitting the crank. I have now found the hole! no jokes please:) and with 3.75 litres of oil it reads max on the dipstick. Just need to make new tube now. I'm thinking of using 10mm copper ? Any thoughts? Cheers Andy

    Dipstick!

    Anybody please?
  16. How many psi is the mechanical pump? Managed to balance the carbs today and runnng even better now. Bit more tinkering and should be there:) Cheers
  17. Hi, Stripped them, new gaskets , needle valves, set floats to 15mm ,8.5 gram floats. Cleaned and blew all the crap out. Need to balance them now then have a play with idle mixture screw. Definitely going in the right direction now . Cheers New diaphragms as well . Plus all jets etc are matched
  18. Hi, Just the old mechanical one.

    Dipstick!

Anybody with the same setup as me with rs2000 sump with wing tell me how much oil to the max line please? I'm runnng 3.75 litres but no way of checking
  20. Managed to get the Dellortos running a lot better today after I put the old fuel pump back on! I'm hoping I can get it to the rolling road now. Thanks all

    Dipstick!

Already cut to minimum Ken and it still hits.

    Dipstick!

I don't know if it's the correct dipstick. One things for sure the sump is not coming off again. It was a pig to put on and the engine needs to come out to get it off!!

    Dipstick!

Thanks. That's what I was referring to.

    Dipstick!

Does anyone on here know which dipstick should be used for a 2.0 Pinto with RS2000 alley sump. I have the short tube one. When I push the dipstick in it hits the baffle plate and won't fully seat in the tube. Then with a bit of jiggling around there is a gap where it will fully seat in the tube but it hits the crank. Any help much appreciated. P.s I know there is a pinned thread on this and the dimensions of mine are exactly the same as the short tube version in the thread. Cheers
  25. Thanks Bob that's handy to know.
