hi all has anyone fitted a gbs pedal box and removed the servo after a little trip to gbs and a walk round the factory yesterday which was quite interesting nearly come away with a new 2.0 zetec but still come away with a pedal box purley cause i like the sound of doing away with the servo but want to know i will stop so i brought there pedal box to fit .......how easy is it i know its got to be welded in and i have got a mig welder but never done anything like this so woundering if anyone is local who wouldnt mind doing it for me

ok but how would i do that and what would go in its place? i thought the brakes needed the servo

its the copper pipes to the servo if i can move them then be great i will order the bits to do it what size is brake pipe normaly

my old manifold has gone in to be welded but he did say that he will try and do it but dont hold much hope as it is so thin the metal thats why i decided to have the manifold off chris it will go but need to move the brake pipes from the servo so they are not in the way if i can cut them and move and rejoin woith straight couplings then great

Thanks to Chris for the over chassis manifold and silencer I have now got another problem lol the joys of kit cars my brake lines that go into servo are in the way not allowing the manifold to fit also clutch cable and throttle cable question is can I cut and move and re join the brake pipes so they are out of the way

i am gonna get old one welded and have a look on ebay or try and get some where who can do it a bit cheaper and not in stainless if poss i know stainless is better

took the manifold to bloke today gonna cost 500 quid to have a new one made out of stainless thats with the car there or 1100 without out the car cause he will have to make a jig plan B i think try and mig weld it and see if it holds till i can get new one

ok cheers mate mine comes out the side panel but just googled custom made exhaust and there a place 20mins from me and he is open tomorow so gonna take the old one down and his gonna make up a new secton for me thanks for all ya help

tractor have you got a pic of it as i aint got a clue if its the same as mine

2b cant weld it as it is knackerd tim i am more than happy to wait and get a complete new mainfold as well just need to know of any where to get one its snapped where the 4 go in to 1 and by the looks of it i dont think it will weld up to good or even last

best place to get exhaust for 2.1 pinto ......went out today in car exhaust was fine then i heard bit of blowing noise just thought it was blowing from joint then it got louder so came home and the exhaust has snapped in half where it comes out of the body sounded good tho some nice popping bit loud but nice lol

yer thought i would mine is a 2.1 so gonna check out fleabay

the mainfold that came with the twin 40s came off a 1700 is there any differance between that and 2.0l pinto just asking if i need to buy new manifold

I have got the 32/36 on there at the moment which I have just had serviced and tuned but I do like the look and sound of the twins gonna get them ultrasonic cleaned and jetted correctly engine is mildly molded with fr30 cam I have also got an injection head with a fr32 cam need to get head checked over and new valves put in

I have just been given twin 40 webers came off a 1700 escort fully working is it worth me getting new manifold and getting them rejetted and set up for my pinto

The carb is the weber 32/36 dgav

Thanks for all the help car went into rpl in leicester new distrubuter fitted new sports coil carb service kit striped and ultrasonic cleaned runs like a dream now.old coil and distributor was failing so good job i got them changed carb all tuned up and on the plus side no more back fire just need to get new air filter for the carb any recommendations of where to get one

Think it's the standard distrubutor with electronic ignition so it can't cope with the ignition curve when you have a different cam fitted the distrubutor I am getting is an aldon distrubutor with with the electronic ignitor
